Searing Burner
Remove plastic packaging from searing burner valve. Remove searing burner grate from searing burner
shelf.
Remove the 2 pre-installed screws from the valve control stem and set them aside. (A&B)
Loosen the searing burner to insert gas valve. First loosen and remove the screw attaching the electrode
etc. (C) to the shelf and set it aside. Then loosen and remove the 2 screws holding searing burner in
place. (D)
Insert the gas valve into the searing burner (E). Insert valve control stem through hole in fascia (F). Install
the 2 previously removed valve control stem screws, but do not fully tighten until attaching bezel to
fascia.
Reattach searing burner to shelf with the 2 previously removed screws. (G)Reattach electrode to shelf
with previously removed screws from searing burner. (H)
Insert bezel openings over valve control stem and the 2 screws (I). Slide bezel down onto screws. Make
sure that black mark on bezel is vertical. Tighten the 2 screws to secure bezel to fascia (J).
Push control knob onto searing burner valve stem. (K)
Replace searing burner grate. (L)
Connect both igniter wires to the igniter module on the underside of the searing burner shelf fascia. To
connect, push igniter wire tips onto pins in igniter module.(M)
Slide searing burner drip box into the drip box bracket. (N)
Unscrew igniter cap from control panel. Insert (1) AA battery (provided in blister pack) into battery slot
with positive end (+) facing outward. Screw igniter cap back onto panel. (O)
