INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES DE SEGURIDAD

Al usar artefactos eléctricos, siempre deben tomarse precauciones básicas para reducir el riesgo de

incendio, choque eléctrico y lesiones a personas:

•

SÓLO CONECTE EL CALEFACTOR DIRECTAMENTE A UNA TOMA DE CORRIENTE/CONECTOR DE PARED DE 120V. NUNCA UTILICE
CON UN CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN. NO CONECTE EL CALEFACTOR A CUALQUIER DISPOSITIVO CONECTADO A OTRO CABLE, TALES
COMO UNA CAJA DE ENCHUFES, PROTECTOR CONTRA SOBRETENSIONES, ADAPTADORES DE SALIDA MÚLTIPLE, CARRETE DE
CABLE, O LOS AMBIENTADORES CON SALIDA DE CORRIENTE. EL USO DE ESTOS DISPOSITIVOS PUEDE PROVOCAR UN PELIGRO DE
INCENDIO. NO ENCHUFE VARIOS DISPOSITIVOS EN LA MISMA TOMA DE CORRIENTE O EN EL MISMO CIRCUITO DEL CALEFACTOR.

• Asegúrese de que la fuente de alimentación se ajuste a los requerimientos eléctricos del Calefactor.
• Es necesario tener un cuidado extremo cuando se utiliza un Calefactor alrededor o cerca de niños o personas con discapacidad. No se debe

dejar el Calefactor operando sin supervisión. Nunca deje a los niños sin supervisión cuando el Calefactor esté encendido o conectado.

• Este artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más amplia que la otra). Para reducir el riesgo de descargas eléctricas, este

enchufe ha sido diseñado para encajar en un tomacorriente polarizado de una sola manera. Si el enchufe no entra completamente en la
toma de corriente, invierta el enchufe. Si aún no encaja, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado. No trate de modificar esta
función de seguridad.

• Las piezas internas de este electrodoméstico pueden recalentarse - NO UTILICE el calefactor en zonas en las que se usa o almacena

combustible, pintura o líquidos inflamables. NO utilice el calefactor en ubicaciones en donde se almacenan químicos inflamables o explosivos,
o en atmósferas húmedas.

• No utilice calefactores con cables o enchufes dañados, o después de un error de funcionamiento o de que se hayan caído o dañado. Cambie

el calefactor por otro. Para desconectar el calefactor, apáguelo y luego retire el enchufe de la toma.

• Siempre desconecte el Calefactor cuando no esté en uso. Desconecte el cable de corriente antes de realizar el mantenimiento al Calefactor

o moverlo.

• No inserte ni permita que los dedos u objetos extraños ingresen en alguna apertura de la ventilación o el extractor, pues puede causar

una descarga eléctrica o incendio, o dañar el Calefactor. No bloquee ni intente forzar el Calefactor en alguna manera mientras que está en
funcionamiento.

• No bloquee las entradas de aire o el extractor en alguna manera. No coloque sobre superficies blandas, como la cama, donde las aberturas

pueden bloquearse. No dependa del interruptor de encendido y apagado como el único medio de desconectar la corriente cuando mueva o
realice mantenimiento al Calefactor. Siempre desconecte el cable de corriente.

• Siempre coloque el Calefactor en una firme, plana y nivelada durante la operación para evitar la posibilidad de que el calefactor se cae. Localice el

cable de manera que el Calefactor de ventilador o de otros objetos que no son los mismos. No coloque el cable de alimentación debajo de alfombras.
NO cubra el cable con tapetes, caminos estrechos o elementos de cobertura similares, ya que puede causar el cable se sobrecaliente. No pase el cable
por debajo de muebles o electrodomésticos. Coloque el cable de alimentación alejado de las personas y donde no se pueda tropezar.

• Este Calefactor está CALIENTE cuando está en funcionamiento. Para evitar quemaduras, no permita que la piel desnuda toque las superficies calientes.

Siempre use la agarradera cuando traslade este Calefactor. Mantenga los materiales combustibles, tales como muebles, almohadas, ropa de cama,
papeles, vestimenta y cortinas por lo menos a 3 pies (0.9 m) del frente del Calefactor y manténgalos por lo menos a 1 pie (0.3 m) de los costados y de
la parte trasera.

• Este Calefactor no está diseñado para ser usado en lugares húmedos o mojados. Este Calefactor no está diseñado para usar en baños, áreas de

lavandería o lugares interiores similares. NUNCA ubique un Calefactor en un lugar donde podría caer dentro de una tina de baño o cualquier otro
recipiente de agua.

• No use Calefactores al aire libre.
• Este Calefactor no es adecuado para usar en instalaciones de agricultura incluyendo áreas donde se almacene ganado, aves de corral u otros animales.

Por favor consulte el Articulo 547-7 (2008) del Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC), o los códigos o normas estatales o locales aplicables con relación a
los requisitos eléctricos para edificios destinados a las agricultura.

ESTE CALEFACTOR NO CUMPLE CON LOS REQUISITOS DEL ARTICULO 547-7

DEL NEC (2008).

• Este Calefactor no es adecuado para usar en lugares peligrosos. Por favor consulte el Artículo 500 del Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC), o los códigos

o normas estatales o locales aplicables con relación a los requisitos eléctricos para lugares peligrosos.

ESTE CALEFACTOR NO CUMPLE CON LOS

REQUISITOS DEL ARTICULO 500 (2008).

NOTA: Este equipo ha sido probado y cumple con los límites para aparatos digitales Clase B, conforme a la Parte 15 de las Normas de la FCC. Estos

límites están diseñados para brindar protección razonable contra la interferencia perjudicial en una instalación residencial. Este equipo genera, utiliza
y puede irradiar energía de frecuencias de radio y, si no se instala y utiliza de conformidad con las instrucciones, puede causar interferencia perjudicial
a las comunicaciones de radio. Sin embargo, no hay garantía de que la interferencia no ocurra en una instalación en particular. Si este equipo no causa
interferencia perjudicial a la recepción de radio o televisión, lo cual se puede determinar al encender y apagar el equipo, el usuario puede intentar

OPERATION

1. Care

ful ly re move the Heat er from the bag and the car ton.

2. Place the Heat er on a firm, lev el surface. Plastic or rubber tabs,

like the feet on this unit, may stick to furniture surfaces and/or
hardwood floors. The unit may leave a res i due that could dark en,
stain or leave permanent blem ish es on the finish of cer tain furni-
ture surfaces, including wood surfaces, and/or hardwood floors.

3. Make certain the unit is in the

OFF

(0) position before plugging

the Heater into the outlet.

4. Plug the cord set into a 120 volt out let.

Be sure that the plug fits tightly into outlet.

When plugs fit loosely into receptacles, they may slip
partially or completely out of the receptacle with only
the slight movement of the attached cord. Recepta-
cles in this condition may overheat and pose a serious
fire hazard; if covered by a cur tain or drape, the fire
hazard is even greater.

5. When the Heat er is ini tial ly plugged in, the

Power Light

will come

on indicating that there is power to the unit. The

Power Light

re main lit until the Heater is unplugged from the elec tri cal outlet.

MANUAL OPERATION

(Figure 1)

THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Allow the Heater to warm up the room before setting the ther mo stat.
2. To adjust the thermostat, turn the

Thermostat Knob

towards the

( ) to increase the desired temperature and towards the ( ) to
decrease the desired temperature.

3. When the desired temperature is reached, lower the ther mo stat

until the Unit shuts off. This is done by turning the

Ther mo stat

Knob

to wards the ( ).

4. The Heater will now au to mat i cal ly maintain the set temperature

by cycling the unit on and off. To prevent the Heater from cycling,
adjust the thermostat.

ELECTRONIC OPERATION

(Figure 2)

1. Turn the Heater ON by pressing the ( ).
2. Upon turn

ing the Heat er on, the unit will be in HIGH heat (

)

(1500 Watts).

3. Pressing the (

) at this point will set the Heater into LOW

heat ( ).

4. To turn the Heater OFF, press the ( ) and un plug the unit from

the electrical outlet.

AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL

1. To set the room at a specific temperature press the (

) or (

)

buttons to the desired temperature. The set temperature will
flash for a few seconds before returning to the room tempera-
ture. The Heater is now in Auto Temperature Mode and the ( )

will iluminate red.

2. When you reach the temperature at which you want to set the

unit, the set temperature will flash several times and then the
display will return to indicate the current room temperature and
will gradually change as the room temperature changes. NOTE:
the temperature display does not indicate the temperature of the
heated air being emitted by the heater.

3. Once the room temperature reaches 2 degrees above the set

temperature, the Heater will shut off. Once the room tempera-
ture reaches 1 degree below the set tem per a ture, the Heater
will turn back on and continue to cycle off and on to maintain
the set temperature.

4. This function will cancel if the ( ) button is pressed. The Heater

will now be in High heat and run continuously.

NOTE:

It is normal for the Heater “fan” to run for approximately 15

sec onds when the Heater shuts off after reaching the set tem per a-
ture. Press the (

) and (

) but tons at the same time to change the

dis play to ° Celsius. Press the same two but tons together again
to change the display back to ° Fahr en heit.

TIMER FUNCTION

The timer function may be activated when the Heater display is in
any function or speed. This func tion al lows you to set the length
of time the Heat er will run be fore turning itself off, from 1 hour to
8 hours. Pressing the

Timer But ton

) will increase the length of

time by 1 hour each time this button is pressed. After the display
reflects 8 hours, press ing the

Timer But ton

(

) once more will re set

the Heat er to run con tin u ous ly. The Heater will turn off when the
set time has elapsed. The unit can be turned back on by pressing
the

Power But ton

( ).

FILTER FEATURES

Press the EZclick™ Filter button to release the cover for the per-
manent filter. Clean the filter with a vacuum equipped with a brush
attachment every two weeks; this will help to maintain the optimum
filter performance. Remember to clean the filter before storing at
the end of the season.

ADJUSTABLE FEET

The adjustable feet can be flipped down to elevate the unit and
raise the heated air flow.
