Cuisson du riz

Tasse à mesurer pour le riz – Ne pas jeter la tasse à mesurer pour le riz incluse avec votre appareil.

Elle constitue un outil essentiel à une cuisson du riz réussie et sa taille représente un standard dans

l’industrie du riz. Une tasse à mesurer pour le riz équivaut à 177 ml (6 oz.) ou environ 3/4 de tasse

(tasse à mesurer impériale standard).
Panier cuit-vapeur – Utiliser pour cuire à la vapeur les légumes, la viande, la volaille, les fruits de

mer et les mets préparés, comme les raviolis chinois et les rouleaux de nouilles de riz.

Si vous utilisez le multicuiseur pour la cuisson du riz, de

céréales ou de grains :

1. Ajouter la quantité de riz non cuit dans le

pot de cuisson et remplir ensuite avec de

l’eau jusqu’à la ligne d’eau correspondante.

Exemple : Si vous ajoutez 4 tasses rases de

riz dans le pot de cuisson, ajoutez de l’eau

jusqu’à la ligne d’eau « 4 » du pot. NE PAS

dépasser le MAXIMUM de 10 tasses.

2. Placer le pot de cuisson directement dans

la base. Veuillez vous assurer que le pot de

cuisson est bien placé dans la base.

REMARQUE : Veuillez vous assurer que le

dessous du pot de cuisson n’est pas courbé

ou déformé, sinon il ne conduira pas bien la

chaleur.

3. Brancher à la prise de courant. Appuyer

sur ON/OFF (marche/arrêt) pour mettre le

multicuiseur en marche.

4. Appuyer sur n’importe quel bouton et

tous les boutons de fonction clignoteront.

5. À la fin de la

durée de cuisson, le

multicuiseur passera automatiquement en

une période allant jusqu’à 12 heures, après

quoi l’alarme sonnera et l’appareil passera en

mode de veille. Utilisez les gants de cuisine

si vous retirez le pot de cuisson de la base

alors qu’il est chaud.

Fonctions de programmation

Les fonctions WHITE RICE (riz blanc) et BROWN RICE (riz complet) ont des cycles préprogrammés

comprenant des durées de cuisson par défaut qui ne peuvent pas être modifiées. Le temps réel de

cuisson dépend de la quantité d’ingrédients et d’eau. La cuisson commencera et l’écran affichera un

tiret tournant jusqu’à ce que le processus de cuisson soit presque terminé. Ensuite, l’affichage de la

durée passera à une durée définie par le programme et commencera le compte à rebours jusqu’à

ce que la cuisson soit terminée. Le multicuiseur passe automatiquement en mode KEEP WARM

(maintien au chaud) lorsque la cuisson est terminée et maintiendra cette température pendant une

période allant jusqu’à 12 heures.

How to use the Multi-Cooker

WARNING

Electrical Shock Hazard.

Cook only in removable Cooking Pot. Never

place water or food directly into the Base.

CAUTION

Burn Hazard. Steam from

steam vent can cause injury.

Before first use: Wash Cooking Pot following “Care and cleaning” instructions; dry thoroughly.

Assemble Lid with flat side of silicone washer facing down toward Cooking Pot.

Cooking rice

Rice Measuring Cup – Do not throw away the Rice Measuring Cup that comes with your unit.

This is an important tool in using your Multi-Cooker successfully as a rice cooker and its size is

standard in the rice industry. One Rice Measuring Cup equals 6 oz. (177 ml) or approximately

3/4 cup (U.S. standard measuring cup).
Steamer Basket – Use to steam vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood, and prepared foods such

as dumplings or rice noodle rolls.

If using Multi-Cooker to cook rice, cereal, or grain:

1. Add desired amount of uncooked rice

to Cooking Pot; then fill with water to

corresponding water line. Example: If you

add 4 level measuring cups of rice to the

Cooking Pot, add water to the “4” line of

the pot. DO NOT exceed 10-cup MAX.

2. Place Cooking Pot straight down on Base.

Make sure Cooking Pot is securely placed

into Base.

NOTE: Make sure bottom of Cooking Pot

is not bent or warped, or it will not conduct

heat correctly.

3. Plug into outlet. Press ON/OFF to turn on

Multi-Cooker.

4. Press any button and all function buttons

will flash. Press MENU button to select

desired function.

5. At the end of the

cooking time, the

Multi-Cooker will

automatically switch

to KEEP WARM. Multi-

Cooker will keep warm

up to 12 hours, then

sound an alarm and

switch to standby mode. Use oven mitts

if removing Cooking Pot from Base while

still hot.

Program functions

WHITE RICE and BROWN RICE functions have preprogrammed cycles with a default cooking

time that cannot be adjusted. Actual cooking time depends on the amounts of ingredients and

water. Cooking will start and the display will show a rotating dash until the cooking process is

almost complete. Then, the display time will jump to a time designated by the program and start

counting down until finished cooking. The Multi-Cooker automatically switches to KEEP WARM

when done cooking and will keep warm up to 12 hours.

Time functions

Six functions can be adjusted to the time you desire. After selecting function, press

and hold the function button to start time. The display will show “ON” until the cooking

temperature is reached, then the timer will begin counting down. The Multi-Cooker

automatically switches to KEEP WARM when done cooking and will keep warm up to 12

hours.
NOTE: The DELAY TIME function can be used with WHITE RICE, BROWN RICE, and HOT

CEREAL.

FUNCTION

TIME RANGE

SLOW COOK HIGH

1–14 hours; timer countdown starts immediately. Automatically switches to

KEEP WARM for a total cooking and warm time of 24 hours.

For example, if slow cook time is 6 hours, KEEP WARM time is 18 hours

(24 hours minus 6 hours).

SAUTÉ

1-60 minutes; timer countdown begins when cooking temperature reaches

300°F (150°C).

SLOW COOK LOW

Same as SLOW COOK HIGH.

STEAM

1-60 minutes; timer countdown begins when water boils.

HOT CEREAL

5 minutes–3 hours; timer countdown begins when water boils.

SOUP

5 minutes–5 hours; timer countdown begins when cooking temperature

reaches 195°F (90°C). Temperature is held at 185-203°F (85-95°C) during

cooking. Stir occasionally.

KEEP WARM

Select to keep food warm for up to 12 hours.

NOTE*: If pot boils dry, Multi-Cooker will beep and the remaining time will flash in display. To continue

STEAM/COOK, add more water within 3 minutes. If no water is added after 3 minutes, the display will

flash “Er” until the ON/OFF button is pressed.

* While slow cooking, the Condensation Collector may need to be emptied after each time you open the Lid to prevent overflow.

KEEP WARM

The KEEP WARM function should be used for already-cooked food. Do not cook on KEEP WARM.

Timer will count up to display the total amount of time on KEEP WARM.

DELAY TIME

The Delay Time function can be used with WHITE RICE, BROWN RICE, and HOT CEREAL. Place

water and food items in Cooking Pot or food in Steamer Basket. Select function and cooking time.
Press MENU button to select function. Press to select cooking time, only for HOT CEREAL. Press

DELAY TIME button and press to select delay time. Press ON/OFF button or Multi-Cooker will

automatically start. DELAY TIME can be set from 0–24 hours.

Memory save

If the power is cut off and restarts within 5 minutes, the Multi-Cooker will remember the initial cooking

status and continue the previous function automatically. If the power break was longer than 5 minutes,

the unit will switch to standby mode.

This warranty applies to products purchased and

used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only

express warranty for this product and is in lieu of

any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects

in material and workmanship for a period of five

(5) years from the date of original purchase in

Canada and one (1) year from the date of original

purchase in the U.S. During this period, your

exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this

product or any component found to be defective,

at our option; however, you are responsible for

all costs associated with returning the product

to us and our returning a product or component

under this warranty to you. If the product or

component is no longer available, we will replace

with a similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear

from normal use, use not in conformity with the

printed directions, or damage to the product

resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or

misuse. This warranty extends only to the

original consumer purchaser or gift recipient.

Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of

purchase is required to make a warranty claim.

This warranty is void if the product is used

for other than single-family household use or

subjected to any voltage and waveform other

than as specified on the rating label (e.g., 120 V

~ 60 Hz).

Care and cleaning

WARNING

Electrical Shock Hazard.

Do not immerse Base, cord, or plug in water or other

liquid.

1. Unplug Multi-Cooker.
2. The bottom of the Steam Vent and

Condensation Collector are hand-washable.

Both should be removed and cleaned after

each use. Wash in hot, soapy water. Rinse

and dry.

3. Cooking Pot is dishwasher-safe. Steamer

Basket, Rice Measuring Cup, and Rice

Paddle are dishwasher-safe, top-rack only.

DO NOT use the “SANI” setting when

washing in the dishwasher. “SANI” cycle

temperatures could damage your product.

4. Wipe Base with a soft, damp cloth or

sponge. To remove stubborn spots, use a

mild, nonabrasive cleanser.

To remove Steam Vent:

1. Unplug and cool.
2. Raise Lid and turn bottom of Steam Vent counterclockwise to remove.

To install bottom of Steam Vent:

1. Align square opening in between 2 arrows on Steam Vent and turn clockwise until it clicks.

To remove Condensation Collector:

1. Unplug and cool.
2. Pull Condensation Collector straight out and dispose of liquid. Wash as recommended.
3. Align Condensation Collector below the Handle Rest on the back of Multi-Cooker, then push

in to secure in place.
