INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES DE SEGURIDAD

Al usar artefactos eléctricos, siempre deben tomarse precauciones básicas para reducir el riesgo de

incendio, choque eléctrico y lesiones a personas:

•

SÓLO CONECTE EL CALEFACTOR DIRECTAMENTE A UNA TOMA DE CORRIENTE/CONECTOR DE PARED DE 120V. NUNCA UTILICE CON UN
CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN. NO CONECTE EL CALEFACTOR A CUALQUIER DISPOSITIVO CONECTADO A OTRO CABLE, TALES COMO UNA CAJA DE
ENCHUFES, PROTECTOR CONTRA SOBRETENSIONES, ADAPTADORES DE SALIDA MÚLTIPLE, CARRETE DE CABLE, O LOS AMBIENTADORES CON
SALIDA DE CORRIENTE. EL USO DE ESTOS DISPOSITIVOS PUEDE PROVOCAR UN PELIGRO DE INCENDIO. NO ENCHUFE VARIOS DISPOSITIVOS
EN LA MISMA TOMA DE CORRIENTE O EN EL MISMO CIRCUITO DEL CALEFACTOR.

LAS CONEXIONES DE TOMAS DE CORRIENTE DE PARED DEFECTUOSAS PUEDEN CAUSAR QUE LA TOMA DE CORRIENTE SE RECALIENTE.
ASEGÚRESE DE QUE EL ENCHUFE DEL CALEFACTOR ENCAJA PERFECTAMENTE EN LA TOMA DE CORRIENTE ANTES DE CADA USO. DURANTE
EL USO, VERIFIQUE PARA ASEGURARSE DE QUE EL ENCHUFE DEL CALEFACTOR NO SE ESTÁ RECALENTANDO. SI ES NECESARIO, HAGA QUE
UN ELECTRICISTA CALIFICADO REVISE Y/O REEMPLACE LA TOMA DE CORRIENTE DE PARED. NO UTILICE ESTE CALEFACTOR CON ALGÚN
DISPOSITIVO DE CONTROL DE VELOCIDAD DE ESTADO SÓLIDO.

• Asegúrese de que la fuente de alimentación se ajuste a los requerimientos eléctricos del Calefactor.
• Es necesario tener un cuidado extremo cuando se utiliza un Calefactor alrededor o cerca de niños o personas con discapacidad. No se debe dejar el

Calefactor operando sin supervisión. Nunca deje a los niños sin supervisión cuando el Calefactor esté encendido o conectado.

• Este artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más amplia que la otra). Para reducir el riesgo de descargas eléctricas, este enchufe ha

sido diseñado para encajar en un tomacorriente polarizado de una sola manera. Si el enchufe no entra completamente en la toma de corriente,
invierta el enchufe. Si aún no encaja, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado. No trate de modificar esta función de seguridad.

• NO utilice el Calefactor en áreas donde se use o almacene gasolina, pintura, o líquidos inflamables. NO utilice el Calefactor en lugares donde se

almacenan productos químicos inflamables o explosivos, o en ambientes húmedos.

• No opere el Calefactor con un cable o enchufe dañado, cuando tenga una falla o cuando se haya caído o dañado en alguna manera. Para desconectar

el Calefactor, APAGUE el Calefactor y luego retire el enchufe de la toma de corriente.

• Siempre desconecte el Calefactor cuando no esté en uso. Desconecte el cable de cor r iente antes de realizar el mantenimiento al Calefactor

o mover lo.

• No inser te ni permita que los dedos u objetos extraños ingresen en alguna aper tura de la ventilación o el extractor, pues puede causar una descarga

eléctrica o incendio, o dañar el Calefactor. No bloquee ni intente for zar el Calefactor en alguna manera mientras que está en funcionamiento.

• No bloquee las entradas de aire o el extractor en alguna manera. No coloque sobre superficies blandas, como la cama, donde las aberturas pueden

bloquearse. No dependa del interruptor de encendido y apagado como el único medio de desconectar la corriente cuando mueva o realice mantenimiento
al Calefactor. Siempre desconecte el cable de corriente.

• Siempre coloque el Calefactor en una firme, plana y nivelada durante la operación para evitar la posibilidad de que el Calefactor se cae. Localice el cable de

manera que el Calefactor de ventilador o de otros objetos que no son los mismos. No coloque el cable de alimentación debajo de alfombras. NO cubra el cable
con tapetes, caminos estrechos o elementos de cobertura similares, ya que puede causar el cable se sobrecaliente. Coloque el cable de alimentación alejado
de las personas y donde no se pueda tropezar.

• Este Calefactor está CALIENTE cuando está en funcionamiento. Para evitar quemaduras, no permita que la piel desnuda toque las superficies calientes. Siempre

use la agarradera cuando traslade este Calefactor. Mantenga los materiales combustibles, tales como muebles, almohadas, ropa de cama, papeles, vestimenta
y cortinas por lo menos a 3 pies (0.9 m) del frente del Calefactor y manténgalos por lo menos a 1 pie (0.3 m) de los costados y de la parte trasera.

• Este Calefactor no está diseñado para ser usado en lugares húmedos o mojados. Este Calefactor no está diseñado para usar en baños, áreas de lavandería o

lugares interiores similares. NUNCA ubique un Calefactor en un lugar donde podría caer dentro de una tina de baño o cualquier otro recipiente de agua.

• No use Calefactores al aire libre.
• Este Calefactor no es adecuado para usar en instalaciones de agricultura incluyendo áreas donde se almacene ganado, aves de corral u otros animales. Por

favor consulte el Articulo 547-7 (2008) del Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC), o los códigos o normas estatales o locales aplicables con relación a los requisitos
eléctricos para edificios destinados a las agricultura.

ESTE CALEFACTOR NO CUMPLE CON LOS REQUISITOS DEL ARTICULO 547-7 DEL NEC (2008).

• Este Calefactor no es adecuado para usar en lugares peligrosos. Por favor consulte el Artículo 500 del Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC), o los códigos o normas

estatales o locales aplicables con relación a los requisitos eléctricos para lugares peligrosos.

ESTE CALEFACTOR NO CUMPLE CON LOS REQUISITOS DEL

ARTICULO 500 (2008).

• Cuando use el control remoto de su televisor u otro equipamiento, verifique para controlar que no encienda el Calefactor también.
• Mantenga la unidad de control remoto del Calefactor lejos de sillas y de su cama donde exista la posibilidad de que alguien se siente encima, deposite elementos

sobre él o encienda el Calefactor inadvertidamente.

Pressing the

buttons while in any Heater function or speed will turn on the Auto Eco

™

function.

1. To set the room at a specific temperature press the

or

buttons to the desired temperature. The temperature will be flashing on the display. The

Unit is now in Auto Eco

™

Mode.

2. When you reach the temperature at which you want to set the unit, the set temperature will flash several times and then the display will return to

indicate the current room temperature and will gradually change as the room temperature changes. NOTE: the temperature display does not indicate
the temperature of the heated air being emitted by the Unit.

3. Heater will run on HIGH heat when the ambient temperature is less than the set temperature.
4. Heater will run on LOW heat when ambient temperature reaches set temperature and will continue to run on LOW heat until ambient temperature

reaches 2 degrees fahrenheit above set temperature.

5. Heater will turn OFF once the ambient temperature is greater than 2 degrees fahrenheit above set temperature. The fan will continue to run for 15

seconds after the heater element is turned off.

All of this happens automatically with Lasko Auto Eco

™

Technology. To deactivate the Auto Eco

™

function, turn the Unit off or press the button.

NOTE:

In Auto Eco

™

, the Unit will display the current room temperature in ° Fahrenheit. Press the

buttons at the same time to change the display

to ° Celsius. Press the same two buttons together again to change the display back to ° Fahrenheit.

REMOTE CONTROL

All the functions per formed with the Remote Control work identically to the manual controls except changing °F to °C.
1. Install two “AAA” batteries (not included).
2. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix al ka line, stan dard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cad mi um) batteries.
3. DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN FIRE. BAT TER IES MAY EXPLODE OR LEAK.
4. Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.
5. Replace all batteries of a set at the same time.
6. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
7. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regards to polarity (+ and -).
8. Remove batteries from equipment that is not to be used for an extended period of time.
9. Remove used batteries promptly.

Controls

Timer Button

The timer can be set for up to 8 hours. Continue pressing
the Timer Button to reach the desired time setting.

Power Button

Turn Heater ON/OFF by pressing the Power Button.

Base Oscillation Button

Press to Start/Stop the Base Oscillation function.

Heat Mode Button

Press to cycle between High and Low Heat.

Automatic Temperature Control

Press to Decrease the desired room temperature.

Automatic Temperature Control

Press to Increase the desired room temperature.
