INSTRUCCIONES DE ENCENDIDO

A.

­Antes­de­intentar­encender­el­calentador,­verifique­todas­

las­conexiones­con­solución­jabonosa.­

NUNC A UTILICE

FÓSFOROS PARA COMPROBAR SI EXISTEN FUGAS.

Si­detecta­una­fuga­de­gas,­no­intente­reparar­o­usar­el­
calentador.­Devuelva­el­calentador­al­vendedor­o­a­la­dirección­
que­se­indica­en­la­última­página.­

B.

­­ Combustible:­el­calentador­sólo­se­debe­usar­con­un­cilindro­de­

gas­licuado­con­extracción­de­vapor.­EL­TANQUE­DEBE­ESTAR­
EQUIPADO­CON­UNA­VÁLVULA­POL­ESTÁNDAR.

Los­calentadores­de­montaje­sobre­el­tanque­Mr.­Heater­no­deben­
utilizarse­con­tanques­de­compuesto­de­fibra­de­vidrio­debido­al­
diseño­y­al­peso­reducido­de­los­tanques.

ADVERTENCIA

USE­SÓLO­GAS­PROPANO­HD.5.­NO­UTILICE­NINGÚN­OTRO­
TIPO­DE­COMBUSTIBLE.­SI­TIENE­PREGUNTAS­SOBRE­EL­
COMBUSTIBLE,­CONSULTE­A­SU­VENDEDOR­DE­PROPANO.­

C.

­­ Gire­la­perilla­reguladora­“Hi-Med-Lo-Off”­del­calentador­a­la­

posición­“Hi”­(hacia­la­izquierda).­

D.

­­Para­encender­el­calentador,­coloque­una­cerilla­encendida­a­

traves­de­la­pantalla­demalla­donde­se­puede­ver­“light­here”­
en­el­reflector.­(Consulte­la­Figura­5)­LUEGO­presione­el­botón­
de­la­válvula­de­cierre­de­seguridad.­Una­vez­encendido­el­
calentador,­mantenga­el­botón­de­la­válvula­presionado­durante­
30­segundos­y­suéltelo­lentamente.­

AVISO:

­NO­PRESIONE­EL­

BOTÓN­DE­LA­VÁLVULA­ANTES­DE­INSERTAR­EL­FÓSFORO­
ENCENDIDO.­NUNCA­SE­PARE­DELANTE­DEL­CALENTADOR­AL­
ENCENDERLO.­REPITA­EL­PASO­“D”­PARA­CADA­QUEMADOR.

E.

­­ Si­el­quemador­no­se­enciende­en­30­segundos,­gire­la­perilla­

reguladora­del­calentador­a­la­posición­“off”­(hacia­la­derecha)­
y­espere­al­menos­cinco­minutos­para­que­el­gas­se­disipe­antes­
de­volver­a­encenderlo.­

F.

­­ NOTA:­Si­el­orificio­se­obstruye­(indicado­por­un­volumen­bajo­

de­gas­mientras­funciona­en­posición­“Hi”­con­un­cilindro­lleno),­
o­si­el­calentador­no­funciona­correctamente­por­cualquier­
motivo,­devuelva­el­calentador­al­vendedor­o­a­la­dirección­que­
se­indica­en­la­última­página­para­su­reparación­o­reemplazo.­
NO­INTENTE­REPARAR­O­TOCAR­EL­CALENTADOR.­

G.

­­Ajuste­la­salida­de­calor­girando­la­perilla­a­la­posición­deseada.­

H. NO UTILICE EL CALENTADOR PARA COCINAR.

INSTRUCCIONES DE APAGADO Y

ALMACENAMIENTO

A.

­­La­válvula­de­encendido­y­apagado­del­tanque­de­propano­

SIEMPRE­debe­estar­en­la­posición­“OFF”­(apagado)­cuando­el­
calentador­no­se­utiliza.­

B.

­­ Al­apagar­el­calentador,­gire­la­perilla­reguladora­a­la­posición­

“OFF”­(hacia­la­derecha).

C. AVISO:

­Luego­de­apagar­la­unidad,­el­calentador­quedará­

sumamente­caliente.­Antes­de­manipularlo­y­guardarlo,­
espere­al­menos­15­minutos­para­que­se­enfríe.­Desconecte­
el­calentador­del­tanque­antes­de­manipularlo­y­guardarlo.­
RECUERDE:­el­accesorio­POL­es­una­rosca­izquierda.­

D. ALMACENAMIENTO DEL CALENTADOR:

­El­calentador­sólo­

puede­guardarse­bajo­techo­si­se­desconecta­el­cilindro­y­se­
extrae­del­calentador.­Los­cilindros­deben­guardarse­al­aire­
libre,­fuera­del­alcance­de­los­niños­y­no­se­deben­guardar­en­
una­construcción,­garaje­ni­en­ninguna­área­cerrada.­Guarde­
los­cilindros­sólo­de­conformidad­con­las­Normas­para­el­
Almacenamiento­y­el­Suministro­de­Gases­Licuados­del­Petróleo,­
ANSI/NFPA­58­y­CSA­B149.1,­Código­de­Instalación­de­Gas­
Natural­y­Petróleo.

E.

­­ Consulte­la­página­7­para­ver­la­lista­de­piezas.­

MANTENIMIENTO

A.

­­Retire­el­tornillo­del­soporte­de­retención­de­la­termocupla­(3)­

en­la­parte­posterior­del­ensamble­del­quemador­(2).­Retire­el­
soporte.

B.

­ Observe­la­posición­de­la­termocupla­(3)­en­las­presillas­de­

retención­de­la­parte­posterior­del­ensamble­del­quemador­(2).­
Retire­la­termocupla.

C.

­­ Retire­el­tornillo­de­mariposa­(18)­y­la­arandela­de­fibra­(19)­que­

fijan­la­válvula­de­seguridad­(6)­al­ensamble­del­quemador­(2).

D.

­Retire­la­válvula­de­seguridad­(6)­del­ensamble­del­

quemador­(2).

E.

­­ Retire­el­orificio­del­quemador­(20)­de­la­válvula­de­

seguridad­(6).

F.

­­ Limpie­el­orificio­del­quemador­con­aire­comprimido­

(a­80­psi­como­máximo).

G.

­­Dirija­el­aire­comprimido­por­el­tubo­venturi­hacia­el­pleno­del­

quemador­(2)­de­modo­que­el­polvo­acumulado­en­la­rejilla­de­
la­parrilla­se­disperse­hacia­fuera.­Mantenga­el­rostro­alejado­de­
la­rejilla­de­la­parrilla.

H.

­ Vuelva­a­ensamblar­el­calentador­en­el­orden­inverso­al­de­

desarmado.
