disconnect, turn the control to OFF ( ); then remove plug from wall outlet.

To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power

WARNING

Electrical Shock Hazard:

This appliance is provided with a

polarized plug (one wide blade) to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits

only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug

How to Use

Before first use:

Clean the Coffee Grinder. See “Care and Cleaning” section.

1.

Hold unit and unwind cord to desired length.

2.

With Coffee Grinder unplugged, pull straight up to remove Sound Shield.

Remove Cover by twisting counterclockwise until it releases, then lift off of

Base. Use the cup markings on Removable Grinding Cup to correspond to

the number of cups of coffee being made. Place Removable Grinding Cup on

Base.

NOTE:

Follow markings on Grinding Cup for coffee beans and spices.

Overfilling can cause unit to overheat and malfunction.

3.

Align white arrow on Grinding Cup Cover with unlock symbol ( ) located on

Base. Then twist Cover clockwise until it locks into place. Coffee Grinder will

not operate without Cover properly locked. Plug into outlet.

4.

Pressing Sound Shield, grind 10 to 20 seconds, depending on amount of

beans and desired grind. Use coarse grind for percolators and medium to

fine for drip coffee makers. A finer grind will yield stronger coffee.

NOTE:

Coffee Grinder will only operate with Cover locked in place and by

pressing Sound Shield.

5.

To remove grounds, pull straight up on Sound Shield, then remove Cover by

twisting counterclockwise. Lift Grinding Cup out of Base.

NOTES:

• Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock mechanism.

• Cover can become etched or cloudy as a result of grinding. This is normal.

• Grinding hard spices such as cinnamon sticks, star anise or whole cloves

can damage Grinding Cup.

Tips for Best Results

• For best flavor, store coffee beans in a dark, airtight container.
• Grind beans immediately before brewing.
• Coffee flavor and strength is a personal preference. Vary the type of coffee

beans, amount of coffee, and fineness of grind to find the flavor you prefer.

• Grinding coffee too finely can sometimes result in coffee overflow from the

brew basket.

• Grinder should be cleaned between each use.
• Grinder is intended for use with dried ingredients and is not recommended for

use with fresh herbs, spices, or nuts.

reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet.

The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the

hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord

is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of

the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance.

Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over

the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally

tripped over.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do not use another high-wattage appliance

on the same circuit with this appliance.

To remove Sound Shield, pull straight up, then remove Cover by twisting

counterclockwise. Lift Grinding Cup out of Base.

3.

To remove Grinding Cup, lift up out of Base.

4.

Sound Shield, Grinding Cup and Cover are dishwasher safe in top rack only.

NOTE:

If water becomes trapped in Grinding Cup, turn upside down and

allow to drain.

5.

Wipe Base with a damp cloth.

6.

Wrap cord in Cord Wrap Storage on bottom of Base.

Limited Warranty

This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only

express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of

three (3) years from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is

replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however,

you are responsible for all costs associated with our returning a product or component under

this warranty to you. If the product or component is unavailable, we will replace with a similar

one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with

the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or

misuse. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep

the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. This

warranty is void if the product is used for other than single-family household use or subjected

to any voltage and waveform other than as specified on the rating label (e.g., 120 V ~ 60 Hz).
We exclude all claims for special, incidental and consequential damages caused by breach of

express or implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price.

AVERTISSEMENT

Utilisation

Avant la première utilisation :

Nettoyer le moulin. Consulter “Entretien et

nettoyage”.

Tenir l’appareil et dérouler le cordon jusqu’à la longueur souhaitée.

2.

En vous assurant que le moulin à café est débranché, tirer vers le haut pour

retirer la protection sonore. Retirer le couvercle en tournant dans le sans

antihoraire jusqu’à ce qu’il soit libéré, puis soulever de la base. Utiliser les

marques graduées sur le contenant pour mouture amovible pour mesurer

le nombre de tasses de café à préparer. Placer le contenant pour mouture

amovible sur la base.

REMARQUE :

Veuillez suivre les marques graduées sur le contenant pour

mouture pour mesurer les grains de café et les épices. Le remplissage excessif

peut causer la surchauffe et un défaut de fonctionnement de l’appareil.

3.

Aligner la flèche blanche sur le couvercle du contenant pour mouture avec

le symbole de déverrouillage ( ) situé sur la base. Puis tourner le couvercle

dans le sens horaire jusqu’à ce qu’il soit verrouillé en place. Le moulin à café

ne fonctionnera pas tant que le couvercle n’est pas bien en place et verrouillé.

Brancher dans la prise.

Appuyer sur la protection sonore et moudre pendant 10 à 20 secondes,
